Reading the Map
Colors are the FAA flight categories, based on the cloud ceiling and visibility. IFR and LIFR mean low clouds or fog, which slow arrivals and often lead to delay programs. A ring marks an airport with an FAA ground stop, delay program or reported delay. Delays caused by airline problems don’t show here; check with your airline.
